Does anyone know when this year's Herndon Climb will be? Also, is this an event that a lot of parents attend?

It doesn't look like it's on the schedule yet. Last year it was the Monday before commissioning. It's a lot of fun and, yes, there are a lot of parents there. I'm not sure how many were plebe parents and how many were firstie parents there for graduation. FYI, there are a number of plebes who don't participate as they are on zero block training.

Zero block training means they're at home for Summer vacation? When does 2nd semester end?

No, zero block training means they go on one of their summer training blocks pretty much right after finals. It's shorter than the other training blocks and it's typically the varsity athletes who head out for zero block because they need to be back on the yard earlier in August than mids who are not varsity athletes.

If they are not tagged for zero block, the mids typically get intersessional leave between the end of finals and the following week--a few days for plebes. They can put in a chit to leave the area or hang around the yard.

Looks like the last exam day is May 7th--could be earlier, of course, depending on your mid's final schedule.
