Hi, my name is Laureas and I'm currently a junior in high school. I am trying for entrance into both the US Naval Academy, and a NROTC Scholarship. I am still not sure which path is the right one for me. My plan is to be commissioned into the Marine Corps through either path. I am currently very active in a local Search and Rescue unit, and my church.

If you're sure that you want to be a Marine officer, you should look into the Marine Corps ROTC option, if you haven't already.

    Welcome aboard!

Also - check out the Marine PLC - platoon leaders course.
they have a guaranteed aviation option if that is your thing and a ground option.

Thanks for the advice. I have looked into PLC, but am pretty sure ROTC or USNA would be a better fit. Does anyone know if achilles tendonitis is disqualifing?
