I took my dodmerb physical today and had a blood pressure of 134/84 or 87. I was wondering if this qualifies, or if I am going to have to take a remedial. Thank you for your time.

140 over 90 is the threshold, so you're close but should be okay.

Thank you. I'm sure I'm just worrying over nothing.

The stress of the physical & knowing that a lot is riding on the results of this physical probably contributes to your BP being a little on the high side. Our DS had his USNA Dodmerb physical a year ago and his blood pressure numbers were higher than he ever experienced with a sports physical.

DS had high pulse rate during his physical and received a remedial. He had never had a high pulse before, so we were surprised. All he needed to do was go to his own doctor who took a resting pulse and a pulse after a certain amount of activity. We received instructions on how and where the doctor had to report the results. The remedial was cleared in short order.

I took took my DoDMERB physical today, and my blood pressure was 140/80 because of my high level of nervousness. Is it within the accepted ranges, or is it likely I will receive a remedial? I have always had perfect blood pressure at my doctor's office.

Technically I think you are ok as it has to be > 140 to cause a DQ. Did they take your BP more than once? If not, then you passed because they are supposed to check it a second time if it is greater than 140/90.

They did take it more than once. The nurse said, "ahh yes! 140, that'll just do it for them," but I wanted to be sure.
