Hi!
So I was thinking about getting a job this summer. I've lifeguarded at my community pool the past three summers but I wanted to get a job that got me more benefits.
I'm tied between being a math tutor or being a swim instructor/working in the kids club at a gym. I'm really good at math and being a math tutor would get me good pay, plus I know it looks great on applications. However, I want to work at a gym because they give you a free membership and my parents cancelled mine since they said it got too expensive. I REALLY miss going to the gym, but I know really anyone can work in the kids club, but not anyone can be a math tutor.
My dad keeps telling me to go for the math tutor since it looks better for the academy and stuff, and I think I would enjoy tutoring kids but I miss having a gym membership more. I'm kinda tied between the two and which would overall be better for applications and what not.

Thanks for you input.

Can you get in a management position for lifeguarding? In highschool I was both a lifeguard and swim instructor and found it beneficial, I still do it when I'm home for the summer. Like mentioned above try to do both. I imagine it wouldn't be that hard to have flexible hours as a tutor. Good luck!

I don't think I would want to do both during my senior year because I would want to have enough time to keep up my grades, apply to colleges, do sports and volunteering, and keep up with my EA. I might just do tutoring for service hours at my school instead of getting paid for it, and then work at the gym if I can get the job.
