Homeschool?

I'm curious to know if there are any other homeschool families out there? My son was accepted, and reports in June. Yeah! I was a little concerned that his non-traditional school experience wouldn't fare well.

R-DAY IS IN 31 DAYS

Each class includes many home-schooled swabs/cadets, he won't be unique in that regard.

Reach out to your local CGA Parent's Association chapter and they may be having a "Welcome Aboard" picnic/meeting where you can meet, bond, and commiserate with other swab parents.

Kids don't tend to talk about their high school days at CGA..... thankfully.

I guess I was just curious about the numbers, i.e. public, private, home school education. Someone else asked me about it, and I hadn't even considered that. I do know, from seeing all these posts, how fortunate he is to be selected.
Within the home school community, an appointment to any Service Academy is viewed as more difficult to obtain, as we don't have "fill in the blank" answers for much of the education sections. What many of us do, doesn't fit in the blanks. But, we do have the national testing (ACT/SAT) and AP/Dual Credit college courses to support our transcripts. I view it as a different path, is all. Rhonda

My DS reports to USAFA in 34 days and he was a homeschooler for high school.
