What do you think of my very non traditional admissions packet?

I just finished my USMMA application... as in I have sent everything and it is trickling its way to Admissions. I have a nomination... along with 1 other kid from my district.

Admissions said to have more than 3 LORs because I am homeschooled, and I have at the moment (5 confirmed, and 2 more maybes):

3 from community college professors, my summer job (lifeguarding) boss, the person who oversaw my internship that is related to nuclear power, and maybe the head of the business & Aviation science division of the community college I go to. And maybe a family friend who graduated from the USMMA the same year as my dad.

Also, does having a pilots license help at all?

My SAT scores were 670 CR and 640 math.
Also, I have calc I, and physics I, I am taking calc II, physics II, and chem 1 this semester.
My CFA was: 12 pullups, 47 pushups, 60 situps, 7:30 run, like 10 something for the shuttlerun, and 55 for the bb throw.

Thanks all in advance.
What a ride (so far)!

Disclaimer: I am not with the USMMA Admissions Office and do not speak on their behalf.

That said, I have been involved with hundreds of candidates that the USMMA has sent to NMMI over the years. Using a sports analogy the direct appointees are the "first string". I get the "second string" candidates. What you have posted looks good. It's what you're not posting (and nor should you for some of those below) that will decide if you are first, second, or third string.

Specifically I'm talking about (1) your high school transcript. What other classes did you take? What were/are your grades? (2) Sports participation. Other than the CFA scores what spots activities did you participate in? Even for home schoolers there are still community/church softball and basketball programs. (3) Leadership positions. Are you involved with scouting or community service organizations? Both are available to home schoolers. (4) Medical status. I'm assuming you passed the DoDMERB and all is good medically?

Good luck with your application. Wishing you the best!

Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the reply,
I have passed my DODMERB, I have a 70 credit community college transcript with computer science, math, and that sort of thing... that is my 'high school' transcript, all are A and B grades. (will the Associates degree I am about to get help?)
I did Boy Scouts for a few years, but mostly volunteered at our local soup kitchen for about a decade. And, I have been on a swim team for over 10 years, I sail noncompetitively (if that helps).

Thank you

Sounds good! I'd suggest making contact with your Admissions Rep. up there and checking to see if your package is complete.

Again, good luck.
