Just to lighten things up a bit, here are some terms/concepts/jargon that parents of the cadets going to the CGA for the Class of 2013 ought to get to know. Unfortunately for you, I am not giving the definitions. However these are guaranteed to get some conversatiosn going.

Tighty-whities

2% club

Flag ceremony

Bussing

Squaring meals

Clocks

Shoulder boards

Tax status

Flag cases

State flags

Holly Ball

Ensign edibles

DOR

Dry Dock

Auto insurance

Swiffers

Libo van

100 mile rule

Sea trials

Verizon, Nextel, Sprint?

I could go on for days.

I know the definition of most of those... if only that would help

my boy!!!

I think my kid learned some at AIM... :shake:

2% club....I don't remember that. I do remember the Square Root Club though, which I thankfully was not a member of.

is that anything similar to the 1% of us bikers that are bad???? :shake::shake:

Oh...that must be a newer number.....the only thing we ever cared about was "Dark Siding"....and another word which isn't "bad" but probably isn't the best thing to put out there either.

isnt 2% the number of relationship that last the four years at the Academy?

Don't really worry about the 100 mile rule (I'm pretty sure it's 100 miles). All you really need to know is that Providence is technically "in the zone," Boston is well outside, and NYC is well outside. Keep in mind you can also be in civvies inside a private residence (aka sponsor family's house) in the zone.

heyn can this apply to the class of 2014 too?
