VMI is a great school. One of my best friend went there and is now a Marine brigadier general.
 
I honestly can't bring myself to be super dissapointed about USNA, of course I would have accepted an appointment there if offered one, but I always felt VMI was the better fit for my personality. I love it there and I feel extremely blessed with the opportunities I have been given. The scholarship money isn't too shabby either ;)
