Hottest Annapolis Summer on Record

Yeah it has been a hot one around here. I still think the worst part of any plebe summer is the dreaded "company officer time" or the gray space in the calendar. For those who remember doing fun uniform races, rack races, or other fun training events of that nature while sweating so severely the walls sweated is what we all remember so vividly and hated. Since Bancroft is now air conditioned (as much as we all make fun of it on here, we all wish we had had it too!) I am not sure they will have the same memories that we did of those events. On the other hand, I suppose when it has been black flag and outdoor events are cancelled it allows them to have lots of "company officer time" in the air conditioned Mother B! I am sure it has been an opportunity for the Detailers to truly learn about "taking care of their troops" to ensure everyone is hydrated, watch for signs of heat exhaustion, and ensure their training matches proper weather conditions.
 
I dunno, Hoops...I think we still would have been sweating even if Company Officer Time had been held in Antarctica.
 
Hoops, Our Plebe has mentioned that, even with the a/c, the walls of Mother B are still drenched with sweat!! :smile:
