I just got my act scores back today and I'm very excited that I did well on my first time taking it.
    Here they are~

    English 21
    Writing 10
    Math 33
    Science 26
    Reading 20

I know I need to really bring up my Reading and English, but otherwise how do my scores look.
Is a 10 for writing any good?
Also which sections is it that west point considers?

Math great, writing good (it's a hurdle and you cleared the bar easily), science OK. Reading and English are poor and you'll need to pull them up significantly if you hope to get in directly.

From the September ACT that I took, I currently have:

    English- 29
    Reading- 33
    Math- 34
    Science- 30
Writing- did not come out yet.

Does this score look good? I got component score of 32, and since this was my first time, I am planning on taking it again.

Anything above 30 is really good, but still not a guarantee. Remember -- WCS! Keep taking the tests (try SAT if you haven't yet, you may do better). Also, Admissions will superscore, so if on the next ACT test you raise your English score, they will take that number. Math & English are most important, but they look at everything.

Judge for yourself. 21-25 in any category is bascially at the bottom of what they took last year. Math is solid but your other scores will present a challenge. Get some books and practice, practice, practice. Take SAT too. You may find you like it better.

    Good luck.
