Courses taken/GPA is important too. I don't necessarily agree but a lot of people will tell you that you should have more sports at a varsity level.

I think you have done a great job so far; you look very well rounded. Continue to do well, and we'll expect to hear great things from you!

I really hope I get in. So ya'll think I fare pretty well? I received an email from a West Point Admissions officer in my region saying my profile was ranked as competitive. I hope that's decent. I'll be applying this summer for nominations and to admissions.

I'm assuming you're a high school junior. If you haven't done so already consider applying for the Summer Leader Seminar (SLS). I believe the online application deadline is 4/1. I agree with yours your resume looks strong. Good luck!

Test scores are becoming very important as the SA's try to compare themselves to the Ivies. Work on getting those up.

You're more than well rounded, you're ideal, at least I would say so. You've got a number of knotches on your belt and that's most of the battle if your intentions are good. They are weighing test scores more rigorously now days, but if you can get yourself a nomination and triple qualified, you should be a happy camper. What the implications of the remainder of your battle to gain an appointment are would be to illustrate yourself postively and fluently. What I mean is you have to show how bad you want it, and why you are involved so externally. You have to show this internally, and export it. Once you can do this, and do it effectively, I am sure we will find you amung the many many great leaders our country has in the service.

Nice - at least it looks better than what I had to offer

Keep it up and I think you have a decent shot :thumb:
