How long before B&G interview is submitted?

My son has his application 100% completed, nomination interviews scheduled and had his B&G officer interview 3 weeks ago. However, his online application is still showing that the B&G officer hasn't submitted the interview. Are we in too much of a rush or should my son send him an email to see what's happening? I know the B&G officer has a full time job, family, etc but it's been 3 weeks! Thanks!

You are not in a rush. My BGO had mine in within 2 days. Just go ahead and send him a respectful email reminding him about it and he will most likely have it in soon.

I felt the same way... it had been about a week after and I just sent my BGO a friendly e-mail asking if he had had the time or not. I don't think it's rude--it shows how eager you are! That's how mine took it, at least. Good luck!

A polite contact email to your BGO should not ruffle too many feathers. Knowing that sometimes writing an interview report is more challenging than others, it might be productive to ask if the BGO has any further questions that you might resolve to facilitate his task of finalizing the report. I personally have had unforeseen situations develop that delayed my completing an interview report as quickly as I had planned and it is frustrating to say the least. Regardless, discretion should be paramount in your communication.
