Son completed his AROTC interview on 8 Oct; today is the 14th. Cadet Command has no record of the intervew (yet). Typically, how long does it take for a PMS to score an applicant and enter his notes in the Cadet Command database? Does the PMS operate under any sort of deadline?

Thanks.

How did you find out whether Cadet Command had any record of your son's interview?

On Oct 13 we emailed in the PFT scorecard and included a note like, "this should complete the application."

CC sent a message back same day, kinda like a form letter, "nope, your interview is still missing."

We're not worried or irritated. It's just that the reply got us wondering.

BTW, I believe that CC will be the only source you will have for when it is received. Your online status will not change from "approved for PMS interview" until a scholarship is awarded.

Considering the next board is not for 6 weeks, I'd wait another 2 and then email again to check status.

Unfortunately, these things do take time...

I guess it just depends on the PMS and how fast he gets it in. I had my interview and two days later got an email from Cadet Command saying my application was complete and ready for board review.

Have you sent the PMS a note, thanking him for taking the time to interview, etc etc schmooz schmooz. With an ending something like, "once the interview is submitted this will complete my application."

Gentle reminders are nice.

My younger son's interview was with my older son's PMS. Since we email regularly, it was easy for me to give him a gentle reminder. Okay, it was not so gentle. I actually said that in the end of August I'll be bugging him weekly until the interview is submitted. He emailed me that he sent it in on Aug 28.

It all depends on your relationship with the PMS.

One luxury I also had was having my first choice college 10 minutes from my house. I wrote a letter thanking him for his time, and urging him to submit the interview in time for the first board. I dropped the letter in his mailbox the day after my interview.
