Curious, and maybe nothing to worry about but probably impossible to ever stop worrying, but: DD got email from BGO 2 weeks ago congratulating her on her appointment. She has had a LOA for some time and received congressional nomination late January. How long can it take until BFE would arrive? IS there anything to worry about?
    Thanks in advance.

BFEs typically are sent 2-3 weeks after LOA + nom + otherwise qualified. Also, by the time the BGO knows, typically the candidate has already had the BFE in hand for at least a week. Are there any outstanding medical issues?

If not, you might have your DD contact her RD. I would suggest she say something along the lines of: I received congrats on my appointment from my BGO a couple of weeks ago but haven't yet actually seen my appointment certificate. Just wanted to follow up.

It was roughly 2 weeks from the notification before my DS's BFE arrived. If you want to alleviate your stress after she sends her acceptance back, make sure you add a self addressed stamped envelope for her birth certificate. It was the only way I knew they received my DS's ;) Yes, I stressed that it could have gotten lost on it's way back to Annapolis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RD is the Regional Director -- the person in Admissions responsible for candidates in your geographic region. Contact info should be in CIS.

I received my medical waiver last Friday (March 20) and my RD emailed me today saying my "official appointment letter will be mailed out in the next week or so." Based on this it seems BFEs are received 2-3 weeks after, as my my RD put it, "status is updated to fully qualified offer"

    Best of luck
