Does anyone have an estimation on the number of USAFA candidates that have been appointed (and accepted) for the class of '16 thus far?

Only need a few guesses, please. No one needs to expand this thread into a mile long post. Thanks for your time! :)

Looking through other threads I would guess about 800 in the first wave and a 100-300 more being sent out in the second wave that has to accept by May 1st. There are around 300 prepschool/ lead people waiting still. and they have around an %80 acceptance rate of appointments... so you do that math on those. Hope that helps

    Alright so...

Does that put me in a bad position if I am still waiting for a response and in waiver processing? My ALO said that USAFA will actually be holding review board decisions up til early May(not past the 15th I believe).

I believe that USAFA will offer you an appointment if they see fit, regardless of a waiting DoDMERB or not... the appointment will just be conditional upon if you pass or not before the due date (May 15?) and if I understand the forums correctly the final wave of appointments will go out a little after the 1st of May unless the class is still under 1050, and then a few extra's will be sent out randomly to bring the class to capacity.
