Last week my son rec'd nominations from our Congressman to USAFA, and also his second choice USNA. This week rec'd USAFA nominations from both of our senators! I have read on the forum of lots of people getting multiple noms, never thought he would be so lucky, is it common for most competitive candidates to get multiple noms? Congrats to all that have rec'd theirs, and good luck to the ones still waiting! Funny how you look forward to coming home to check the mail for a change! ha

Congratulations! To answer your question, it depends on your location. In very competitive areas, usually a candidate can only get one nomination because congressman and senators talk to avoid overlapping candidates and have as many people nominated as possible. In less competitive areas, it is more common to receive multiple nominations as there may not be enough people to fill the slates. It really all depends. But 4 nominations is alot and awesome! Hopefully an appointment is on the way...

Yha I had a question about this before. I'm from a very very populated area of NY, and I got 2 noms to navy. Is this a good sign/thing?
