How many spots left?

Hang in there- the strain of the uncertainty must be enormous if you allow yourself to dwell on it. If you didn't get a QNS or TWE, you're still in consideration! You're all remarkable young men and women to get this far!
Well, unfortunately, the long wait resulted in a QNS. I think we are more disappointed than our DS although he doesn't really show much emotion anyway. He has a great Plan B (AROTC 4-yr national winner to UNG) and I think that's been his focus for awhile now. Wish we knew what he could've done better or what his file was missing to get him an appointment. Bottom line is that he wants to serve this great country and we are extremely proud of him! Congrats to all appointees! Go Army/Beat Navy!

QNS is Qualified Not Selected. This is mostly due to a limit in class size. (Many qualified applicants, not enough slots)

I'm just assuming here, but people who receive QNS are encouraged to reapply and have an edge on those who are applying for the first time. (since they were already deemed qualified, also, they know the process by heart after the months they spent on it). Of course, I realize that this is all subjective, since every case is different. I'm just sharing some of the information that I've received from applicants who didn't get selected the first time.

The difference between a TWE and a QNS is that the first term means that you weren't 3Q'd, but QNS applicants were deemed qualified. Also, TWE is a colloquial term in the forum describing the disappointing news hidden within a Thin White Envelope as opposed to the big YES within a BFE (Big Fat Envelope)

So if over 900 have accepted and 200 more still have not been issued for usmaps -(per prep achool thread)that would mean the class is full ? 4400 is the entire corps size -correct ?and usually somewhere about 1100-1200 for a plebe class?

I wonder how many of us are left that are still waiting since I know I have read many TWE/ QNS letters have gone out as well. I am holding on and not giving up!
