I don't look at DSs portal unless he shows me, so how do you know if your candidate is 3Q for USNA? I saw the letter he received from West Point that actually says "Admissions Committee has qualified your file academically, medically and physically". Is that the same?

I see many threads that reference 3Q but couldn't pin down one that actually explains how you know.

    Thanks everyone!

USNA doesn't inform a candidate of 3Q status like West Point does. You will know the medical and CFA piece. The last one is scholastic. USNA doesn't inform a candidate of they are scholastically Q or not. Your BGO should be able to tell a candidate if they are competitive or on the edge. Also by looking at this forum and past class profiles you should be able to gauge of you are in range or not.

Thanks, NavyHoops. I can always rely on you to have the scoop. BGO says he is competitive, so that will have to be good enough!
