how to finish the rotc ap

^^^^
It ain't just the federal government. It's anywhere you work but more likely to happen in large organizations. In fact I would venture that the chances of this stuff happening is directly proportional to the size of the organization.

I'm sure you have a number to call to report this stuff. Use it.... but logoff the app, close the browser, and then log back in first. It's possible its a problem with the data in your HTTP session caused by some host software issue. Worth a shot anyway.

Thanks for the site info! For DS, it says everything received except medical. He also interviewed. The part I am concerned with is on the scholarship app site, it still says academics pending, and under guidance counselor form, it still says sent. Also, for the coaches e-mail, it still says sent, even though they have the mailed copy of the PFT, signed by the coach.
DS is double checking with the coach today that he sent the e-mail back about the PFT (even though we already mailed it), and will check tomorrow with guidance if he can get anywhere near the office (first day of school).

Just a suggestion -- it wouldn't hurt to send a message to CC through the portal to try and verify the status of the items on the application you are concerned about.

We did email once and really didn't get a specific response. Once we check with guidance, I will pursue it again!

CC got back with me about my particular problem. They said they were experiencing technical issues with electronic test scores (sounds similar to what they were talking about in the USMA forum) and that this was messing the whole system up. Told me my file was complete and board ready :biggrin:

Nice Streingth! DS's guidance Conselor sent his form in, so the only thing that is yellow is the PFA form, which still says sent instead of approved. DS did send an email yesterday to CC, so we will see what their answer is. Next step is to call.

DD has same issue with PFA that is marked as yellow (pending). She uploaded it in the middle of August and it has shown pending since. DD has tried e-mailing CC (twice) and recently called them, but she has heard nothing back except crickets :)

OK, good to go - DS's app is completely green and all items are marked either approved or completed!

Just clarifying that the "Status" portion of the app is always yellow right? Everything is green on mine except that.

DS's did turn green. Is everything on your dashboard either "approved" or "complete"? His turned status green at the same time that the guidance and PFA letters turned "complete", basically. And...we found out the coach never sent the e-mail back to them,so they finally "listened" to DS's letters that the PFA had been snail mailed and approved.

EXACTLY the same on DS's portal as soccmomer above-word for word-even the PFA issue.

Here is a cut and paste

Great news! DS interview updated today and now ALL tabs are green and Status shows "Completed" on dashboard (I guess they fixed the link that was broken that Strength & Honor mentioned a few weeks back).

It is amazing how pop culture makes us see things differently.

Did you know that Terry Bradshaw has stated he owes his success to Phil? Phil decided football conflicted with hunting!:shake: Both became successful, just didn't paths.

Back on topic. Congrats for getting to this last hurdle.

Very good! Does take a weight off doesn't it? We are currently waiting for some recommendation letters needed for other things - we gave the teachers a deadline of 10/1. 2 teachers completed theirs already and 2 didn't. I want DS to write a little blurb and hand it to them on Monday, reminding them of what he still needs. Hope that is not tacky, but he has deadlines of when to have the letters in, so needs time to mail them.

I think it is a perfect idea!

I mean this with the utmost kindness, but I would not do that. I would have him pop in before school starts, during lunch or after school.

Remember, that most of these teachers are being asked to write recs for other kids, on top of grading papers, and maybe coaching/adviser for ECs.

Talking to the teacher one on one, may be viewed in a more positive light than receiving a letter in their box, especially if he says face to face that the MOC/ROTC board deadline is X date, and if I don't have it in, I lose a chance of getting a scholarship.
~~~ Many teachers that write recs don't understand this is not a college app for the student, where the student will not meet until Nov., but it is a scholarship app.and the boards are already starting to meet.
This is a favor to your child, and IMPO, it is important to remember this is a favor.
Again, not trying to be rude, just trying to place the teacher perspective in your equation.
Oh, he won't just leave it in their box, he will tell them, but hand them the paper listing what he needs - in case they lost the original request letter with "the list" that he gave them when he asked if they would write the letters. Basically they have to write 1 letter, but it has to be submitted in different ways to different places (some by e-mail, some he sends in with his packet). He knows it is a a favor, that is why he asked if they would be able to do it. We were hoping that if they felt they did not have time, they would say so.
