I completed the pre-candidate questionnaire back in spring and I've been waiting for my application to open and it hasn't happened. am I missing something? I've followed all the instructions up to this point but maybe I missed something.

I've received my DoDMerb packet in the mail. I figured my application would open but it still isn't open.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Jimmy

Go back and read some of the other threads about am I competitive or not. If you think you are, then reach out to your Field Force rep or one of the Regional Technicians from the website.

Make sure you check your candidate portal first for any letters they may have posted in there that may be an indication on your status.

I'm assuming with an open DoDMERB, you are applying to one of the other service academies as well. Get to work on their applications and get the medical done. Better to have that waiting then to be worried about a USMA application and delaying what could take more time and energy to fully complete (medical).

    Thank you for your reply.

I went ahead and emailed two different representatives on the candidate portal so hopefully than can help me sort this out.

the DoDMerb packet came from my West Point application because at that time, that was the only service academy that I had a file open with. I also consider myself to be a highly competitive candidate so hopefully they can help me figure it out.

One may wish to reconsider using one's real name in a public forum such as this.
