Dear Mr. Mullin: My daughter was (emphasis was) using a prescription to alleviate what was basically a high school social embarrassment, ie sweat staining her armpits. It has been labeled hyperhidrosis, which is disqualifying her from AFROTC. She has no excess sweating on her hands or feet, is athletic in all weather conditions and suffers no effects other than cosmetic. I think a boy would have just laughed it off.
She no longer uses the medication, but her waiver was denied - I think almost automatically. Any suggestions on how to appeal this determination and what sort of evidence would they need to see in order to issue a waiver?
Thank you
