Is hypothyroidism (treated with daily meds) grounds for DoDMERB disqualification? Thanks

Throw my answer in the circular filing cabinet, but I would say "yes". One of the 1st things they ask is medical history and current medications, plus the duration of being on that medication.

Anything that requires daily medication to maintain a medical issue will cause a flag.

The reason why is that they must think about deployments and G forbid that member needs the medication to do their job, but is out of it they than become an issue for the mission at hand. They would need to make sure he has that medicine wherever in the world he is at for however long he will be there.

DoDMERB dq's, it is the branch that grants the waiver. It is not uncommon for one branch to deny a waiver and another to give the waiver.

Daily Thyroxine I am guessing right? Are you having any side effects that you think could hinder you in PT or training?

I echo what Pima said as well.
