they basically let you keep what's essential... razors, blades, toothbrush... sometimes even deodorant or toothpaste. sometimes.

and they still let you buy all that essential stuff at the c-store when you get there. Honestly, bring a razor, and paperwork. that's it. they give you everything else. oh, and if you're religious, during the Friday and Sunday church services, most "church leaders" will be handing out small military sized scriptures. I wish I would've known that, and I wouldn't have took mine!

Well, those particular bags, if I remember that particular trip correctly, most probably containt one or two pairs of boots, some low quarters (black shoes), three sets of ABUs, and maybe some blues shirts... and you may not think boots and ABUs would be that heavy, but WOW

lol. You can't carry it by yourself in your left hand! especially going across the T'zo! but usafa10s and I have a good squad, so we helped carry each other's bags! that's one of the important things, is to learn how to help your classmates when there is practically nothing you can do.

I think some of the guys did have electrics at BCT, but mine (lazy!) dry shaved with a regular razor. Santa Claus brought them their own electrics, so now they can dry shave with those.

I keep on seeing the different colored hats on each class's photo page. Will 2013 be silver because 2009 is silver too?
