From 9:30 - 2, walk over the footbridge near Alumni Hall to the tents on Hospital Point. Local companies sponsor the Shade Tent, free chilled water giveaway and exhibits in the Expo Tent.

You do not have to have bought the USNA Alumni Association catered lunch to enter the Expo Tent. At the entrance to that tent, you can pick up a free Proud Parent of a Naval Academy midshipman tote bag, then stroll the tent to visit Parents Club tables, get familiar with local hotels who want your business, etc. Hang out in the Shade Tent in between those Mid Store runs.

Full disclosure: I may well be the one handing you the free tote bag. Safe travels to all and enjoy this last weekend with your Plebe To Be.

Sorry - not sure I understand context of question about Sunday. I am referring to Tuesday, 1 July, Induction Day for USNA '18.

All the "festivities" revolve around the day the Oath of Induction is taken, I-Day itself. The Yard is comparatively quiet in the days before I-Day, as priors and NAPSTERS check in, and the detailers run through final preps and briefings.

Not necessary to the day - which is about your family sharing a special time with your plebe on the verge of a challenging journey. My team and I will be 12 smiling faces, including 4 USNA alumni, 2 USMA, 1 USAFA alumni, plus other military vets - cumulative 314 years uniformed life - and we all remember the day we took the oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States...

Parents, if you were too late to score a free Proud Parent bag at the Parent Expo before we ran out (gave out over 1000), stop by 125 Prince George St., about 600' from Barry Walk Gate behind Halsey Field House.
