I posted earlier about the trouble my mom might have getting around Annapolis on I Day. Well, today the news was confirmed that she has a miniscus tear and will need to use a walker for a month! The family is concerned with the best options for her during the strenuos I-Day. Nothing will deter her from seeing Grandson, even for 2 minutes, so please don't go down that road..... Someone gave me a link/site for a wheel chair. Is that the best route, or should she bring her prescribed walker and hope for the best? Thanks for any and all advice.

I would look into renting a scooter with a minivan to carry it.

I don't know about the mini van, but a scooter is a great idea! Does anyone know of a place to rent one? I can't see us carrying on cross country, but the idea is very promising!

    Travel Scooter

I saw a family with an elder tooling around on one of these during Commissioning Week. They are lightweight, collapsible and portable mobility scooters, available for rent.

Just ensure you get some blue and gold temporary decorative items for it, perhaps a Bill the Goat pennant or stuffed Bill for the handlebars...:shake:
