I-Day Info, Questions, Comments

A comment from Facebook stated that the young man's t-shirt stated "I eat upper classmen for breakfast" (oh no he didn't) hence why his shirt is covered by a light jacket. If true that t-shirt should provide 9 months of personal training.

Friday Facebook Fun Fact: There were 12,713 applicants for the Class of 2015 with 1,159 of them earning appointments. This included 10 turnbacks (cadets who can't attend this year and will maintain a slot for next year) and nine international students. As of this morning, there are 1,138 basic cadets with three in our transition flight (going home).

Anyone understand the math on this?
1159 -10 turnbacks = 1149
1149 - 3 (going home) = 1146
Currently there are 1138 cadets (not sure if that includes the 3 going home)
Does this mean that 1159 accepted their appointments but only 1148 (including the 10 turnbacks) actually showed up on I-Day?

What all can turn you back on I-Day, besides medical?

Off the the top of my head I would imagine not being able to prove US citizenship, police issues that occurred since your appointment and any serious academic problems (not graduating).

the same guy receiving all the attention, is shown here with a plain t-shirt. If the images don't display, the album is here. The first photo is # 131 / 155 and the 2nd photo is # 130 / 155.
