Drop them off and then go to the picnic and the briefings. You will meet a lot of wonderful parents going through the same thing and have a wonderful day.

When you meet them on Stribling they will be exhasted, tired and sweaty. White Works are like living in a sauna.

Get away form Stribling and get a place under a tree toward the Chapel.

They don't want to sit on the grass. Grass stains on White Works are a NO NO. Bring something for them to sit on. We used a throw away picnic table cover.

Bring some cold drinks in a small cooler and something to eat. They will be fed during the day but they will not eat during the day. They will appreciate something.

Be supportive. You will see some MIDS that think this was the worst day of their life. Others will say that my coaches screamed at me a lot harder. Go with the flow.

They will want to leave you long before required formation. They don't want to be late and they have to find their Company. Believe me they are hyper.

Stay to watch the March In. It is the last time you will see them for a long time.

Listen to the Christmas Music as you leave Gate one.

Any others chime in with I-Day info.

Also get the Alumni Association for the four years. It is cheap and the tail gates are great. Best food and some great before football game places to go.:thumb:

Great tips AF6872! I am really going to try my best to hold it together. I know the last thing my son needs is a weepy momma!

Weepy siblings are worse. Everything was fine until the little sister started.
