I received a nomination from my local congressman, and have some questions.

Are nominations 5 per academy per congressional district?

I am reading an article that for every 10 that are nominated only 1 is accepted into one's desired academy, is this true?

If I dont get accepted but have a nomination, does this make me more competitive for a foundation school?

And what now? Just wait?

Thanks for the help

Each MOC can have 5 people attending one service academy at a time. For each vacancy, they can nominate up to 10 people for the one slot. Yes, only one person off that slate will get charged to the MOC, however multiple people on that list can get appointed by either a) LOA or b) National Waiting List (NWL). Many people do get appointed off of the NWL, which is based off of the whole candidate score.

Not sure about foundation... sorry. Best of Luck!!

Yah It's basically like, the SA has to appoint at least one person from that area/state. But they can appoint as many as they want/can from that area/state.
