I was reading on the Golden Knight Battalions AROTC website, that the board dates for this year are ...

    29 September 2009
    1 December 2009
    5 January 2010
    2 February 2010
    2 March 2010
    6 April 2010

What happened to October and November?? This is two less chances to receive a scholarship, plus its a longer wait unless you win in September.

I think the Army will grant the same number of scholarships regardless of when or how many times the board meets. What would be the harm in waiting until after mid December to hear the results? Should give most applicants more time to hear back from their early acceptance colleges.

Yeah i guess you are right, it just looks daunting when you see less dates than normal, and waiting isnt a bad thing, but patience has never been one of my strong points.

Relax - The senior year is filled with wonder and stress. for the first time in your life you have no idea where you will be in a year. It will all work out.
The Army needs Officers and they will award Scholarships. It will happen.
Concentrate on doing well on your college application and doing well in school your senior year. In the spring it will all fall into place.
