I need help. This coming school year, I will be a Junior in High School and also going into my third year of both JROTC and as Class President. I have a very strong following at the school as Class President and people expect me to run for Senior office at the end of the year. I am also being prepped to take over as Battalion Commander of my JROTC at the end of the year. My problem is... I'm not sure I want to do both, as it would be difficult for me to balance. I love JROTC and would extremely enjoy being Battalion Commander, but to give up my Presidency after 3 years of work doesn't seem wise even though I don't enjoy it as much. I'm kind of stuck being Battalion Commander so my question is: -Should I give up the presidency and do a bang up job as Battalion Commander? How would the Academy view this choice? -Or is it worth the stress of balancing both jobs and doing a mediocre job at both? How would the Academy view this choice?
