Year ago i was arrested for keeping illegal firearm at home. I was convicted and send to jail for couple days and then court changed my jail time to probation. After that my country's president pardon my conviction and probation because of good behavior. I am international student. I tried to apply 3 times before and did not get in. I want to apply again because i am more determined and ready but i want to know can i be admitted or not. My arrest was misunderstanding i found this firearm in the yard near my home and took it. I did not know that was illegal or what should i do. I was just interested. So please can anyone answer my question what should i do. Do i have any chances of getting in ???

As you are aware, the standards of admission are VERY high for United States citizens. Although none of us can tell you with certainty, it would be highly unlikely, unusual, for a US citizen to be admitted with what amounts to a felony possession of an unlicensed firearm on his or her record.

As a foreign national, you have to convince both USNA and your own country's decision makers that you're worthy, because your country will have to pay your tuition and expenses. Given these factors, and given that there are other foreign nationals who have not been arrested or served probation who also want to be admitted to USNA, it seems extraordinarily unlikely that you'd be considered.

Thank you for your answer. I do not have any problem with my country's decision makers since i was pardon of everything and i have no conviction now. I do not want to lie and i am not going to lie when i will be asked have i ever been arrested or not. Since i was pardon of everything i dont have any problems with my countrys law
