what happens to ICs during BCT intramurals? do they have to do them or are they pulled out to practice their sports? i notice that some pictures on webguy show swimming, gymnastics, football and others already being done. thanks.

are intramurals done everyday or just specific days of the week?

IC sports and Intramural sports

Hi
My DS as a recruited baseball player goes to the baseball field to work out with his team during intramural sports. I am pretty sure this is the same for all the drafted IC players.
Regards
John

Yes, ICs with prior coach contact will pick up their equipment from the coach and practice their sport with the other incoming athletes (for me, coach had my tennis shoes and rackets and we played points together). Those who are considering walking on also will usually make contact with the coaches at the first intramural session and participate in that sport as well. As for the frequency, when I was cadre it was closer to once or twice a week.

Just an FYI. If you are a football ic, u will just be in the weight room. One reason is because they don't want an injury during BC which could send you home. Second reason is because of NCAA rules concerning how many practices the team can have prior to the season starting.

As fencers, my sons didn't leave BCT for practice, but did go the day after A-Day. Probably some depends on your sport's season.

I think I recall that their coach "suggested" they not participate in the Field Ball part of BCT, but I think that's gone since the broken femur several years ago.
