I've been hearing people talking about the birth certificates/passports that they have sent to USNA with their acceptance of the Offer of Appointment. I haven't done that, but I may be in a unique situation. I turned in the forms of acceptance while I was in Annapolis for a CVW, and the guy at the admissions desk said that he didn't need to see my passport (which I had with me). That was in February, and I haven't heard anything requesting ID from USNA so should I still send that before Permit to Report Packets are sent out?

Our letter had an "important notice" included that said they require proof of citizenship, and gave a list of documents that would suffice. So you might want to call the admissions office so they know you are sending yours...

Oh and CONGRATS!!

My son also had to have a police report sent ... basically saying that he had no record ... you should check your acceptance packet closely.

My appointment package never asked for my birth certificate nor for me to send in my passport the only thing was the dental picture, tattoo/ body alteration page, accepting page, and police record. And since then I have not been asked for this information.

All the forms I got said that USNA had to have proof of citizenship on file at the Academy before I-Day; I would call and check that out.

Maybe the Academy is asking it of the people that got their appointments closer to the May 1st date...? Because I have not been notified that they need anything more from me and I have asked my RD a couple of times to make sure (including recently). Gdesena maybe it will be in our permit to report package.
