Was reading this article

http://news.yahoo.com/taliban-attempted-assassination-prince-harry-camp-bastion-132435238.html

when the following paragraph stuck out at me

The U.S. Army uniforms the Taliban wore during the raid were likely "stolen from supply trucks and sold in Pakistan" and came with "proper ranks and name tags."

Identifying our friends from foes on the battle field (and diplomatically) is evidently fraught with events like this.

If we cannot control our war materials flowing through a "friend" like Pakistan, you start to wonder how you can trust anyone on the battlefield these days...

My daughter found that you can buy all sorts of US uniforms in Beijing with any medal or ribbon you want. They are sold in the market. She was amazed. All good USMC stuff.
