when the following paragraph stuck out at me
Identifying our friends from foes on the battle field (and diplomatically) is evidently fraught with events like this.
If we cannot control our war materials flowing through a "friend" like Pakistan, you start to wonder how you can trust anyone on the battlefield these days...

The U.S. Army uniforms the Taliban wore during the raid were likely "stolen from supply trucks and sold in Pakistan" and came with "proper ranks and name tags."
