I am trying to understand the AROTC process better. It appears that the 1st board is (mostly)for 4 year scholarships. Do the subsequent boards mostly award 3 year?

and….when and how do the individual campuses become part of the equation? Sorry if this is a dumb question…I'm new here and haven't been able to cobble that answer together. thank you!

Hard to say for this year, last year there were 4 year winners on the second board along with 3 year, I believe there were some 4 year posted here for the third board as well.

A lot will have to do with whether the allotments for 4 year were filled on the first board for individual battalions.

Again it's hard to make any predictions based on the fact that Cadet Command seems to be changing things every 5 minutes.

My DD was on the first board and yet received a 3 year scholarship, which begins sophomore year of college thru senior year. So, unless you have other scholarships, the freshman college experience is at your expense.
