Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew how difficult it would be for someone in Illinois (4th district) to get a nomination. BGO said my application looks good just haven't heard back from either senator or congressman Gutierrez yet. Thanks!

Hi jholden93. I can't imagine IL 4th district being as competitive as some of the other ones. This is just an assumption though based on the district's racial makeup and median income. I am from IL 6th district which is a very (if not the most) competitive district. However, IL Senator noms will be competitive. Good luck in the application process and don't worry, you will no doubt be contacted

How is Davis' district?

that is oakpark berwyn area right? I think it is sort-of competitive but not freakishly so. I think I also recall he doesn't announce his slate until the last second and that district was a bit unorganized. there was a poster whose son got a nom from him. Look up posts by craeder. that will give you some info. though things change every year. good luck

I'm in Roskam's district and they contacted me and one of my USAFA friends already, they typically get about 30 applicants for nominations for all the academies. That's what the community relations person told me
