I'm worried about getting accepted for a scholarship

Alright, thank you for the flight hours suggestion and all the advice/info. This did me more then ANY of the websites I looked at. I will ask my folks for some flight hours. I'm guessing my introductory lesson counts as 1?

Anyways, if I don't make the Air Force ROTC scholarship, I can still do AFROTC and if I stay in it for 4 years, assuming I meet the requirements, I'd enter the Air Force as an officer, correct? And I definitely will get my 1.5 mile time down to at least 11:30, I'm actually aiming for something like 9 or 10 minutes. Thank you everyone :)

I can't answer the introductory lesson question. All I can recall is that DS took his log book with him for the TBAS.
~ If you look up PCSM you can find the break points for flight hours regarding points.
~~ Someone like kevster, nonducor or zero may be able to assist you in the new PCSM 2.0 regarding hours

You can always walk on as a cadet without a scholarship. I would say 75% are not on scholarship.

You will commission as an AF officer. Traditionally you will go AD.

Thank you Pima, that definitely clears things up. I understand so much more. And to answer your question, my DD, without a doubt, desires to serve first and does know the risks. She is prepared to forgo medical school until after her obligation is paid. Her first desire is AFA, medical school or not. AFROTC is a back up as well as plans B, C, D. Hold on to your seat. What a ride this will be.

Ideally it is your PPL that you should aim for because than you can get a waiver for IFT. However, in reality it is whatever you can afford.
