Hey all. Not exactly another what are my chances thread, rather just trying to figure out what short term improvements I can make as I'm a senior applying right now. All advice and critiques are greatly appreciated! Here are my specs:
Academics:
3.72 UW 4.22 W
51/331 rank
1300 New SAT 680 math 620 reading
Received award from American Legion for scholastic achievement in JROTC
Athletics:
Wrestling captain 1 year, 4 years total, 3 letters, 1 award from my school
Lacrosse 3 years, 3 letters
Cross country 2 years, 2 letters
Leadership:
President of Beta, Student Body, and Kitty Hawk Honor Society
3rd in command AFJROTC, 4 years jrotc, 1 year cap
school ambassador, club officer, youth group officer, church group officer
2 jrotc officer indoc. courses and other leadership training
Hundreds of hours of community service. Several hundred hours at VA War Memorial, few hundred at my church
CFA: don't know exact numbers but I'll be around the average scores in each section, some deriving a slight amount in either direction (anyone know if the averages are average of accepted or average of all who submitted?)
Will have good letters from military officers
Please critique! I really appreciate it, I've been working for this for years. All my focus has been on working for a commission one day, so doing all I can to help get a contract either through ROTC Scholarship or USMA. Thanks and have a nice day.
