In other news beside Religion or No Religion

It's soooo sad that I remember watching that live the first time I saw it. :frown:

the early years of Saturday Night Live really were classics- In addition to "Francisco Franco is still dead" a couple other classics were John Belushi in the diner( "cheezborger, cheezborger, cheezborger- no coke- Pepsi!") "LandShark" and my favorite :("It just goes to show, it's always something") Rosanne Rosannadanna http://www.hulu.com/#!watch/4147

Sadder still that I saw it too but can't remember seeing it.

The real question would be- is this a function of old age (can't help that) or even at the time did you wake up the next morning and not remember it? Amazing what several pitchers of Beer can do to your retention- or at least I have been told that is the case:rolleyes:
Somehow the Geritol and prune juice cocktails of 2013 just don't seem like a satisfactory replacement for the Saturday night beverages of yesteryear:confused:

"The Bad News Bees"

I still can't figure out how they got that past the censors back then.

A classic.

Raise your hand if you tried the Bass-O-Matic after you saw it. And what did your mom say!!!:thumb:

No don't quit yet- That was one of the greats! One more for the road: http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi119734297/

Okay, This is my last post.

I had forgotten about this until I watched the point/counterpoint link.

About 15 years ago a colleague of mine was dictating (remember that?) a letter to the secretary (remember them?) directly to Wordstar or Word Perfect; I can't remember which. She was of our generation and her name was Jane.

She made some minor error, and I mean really minor. David said, "Jane, you ignorant slut!". Jane had never watched SNL back in the day.

I'll leave it at that, and head on out for the evening with DW, who happens to command a large "irony free zone".
