What do most of the cadets major in if they choose the Intelligence route?

I am interested in doing this in the Air Force and something similar while working for the government after my service.

Although I have no idea what most military intelligence officers major in during college, I would definitely say that a foreign language and foreign studies, political science, behavioral science, social sciences and history would be excellent courses. All of the above (except perhaps the foreign language which is offered as a minor) are offered as majors at USAFA. You would also receive excellent counseling as to what courses to take for certain career plans at any academy. Good luck!

There is no major requirement for intel. You could major in whatever you want. Remember, the better you do in your major, the more likely it is that you will get your first choice AFSC.

My roommate at USAFA back in the day majored in Biology and went into intel. I majored in biology and went into Personnel. In many cases, not all, (some career fields do require a specific major) what you major in has little to do with what career field you go into.
