I applied for the SLS at WP before but I was denied mainly because I forgot to attach something and had to reapply it after the deadline >.<. But in doing so, the DODMERB sent me a packet because they said I showed "interest". Mainly pointing out that I needed to schedule my physical, doctor exams, etc. I have a few questions tho.
Does the test include the physical test where you do the mile run, pull ups, pushups, etc. (I think its called the Cadet Fitness Exam).
Does the examinations count for all the academies?
Is there a deadline for the medical examinations?

the Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA) is administered to you usually by your PE teacher, a coach, JROTC instructor, Field Force rep, etc. is not to my knowledge during the DODMERB exam. for your second question, if your talking about the CFA, im not sure, but the DODMERB exam does count for all the academies.

    Hi, chosen57,

2012cadet is correct. The CFT is not given during the DoDMERB exam. The DoDMERB is strictly a medical exam. My daughter was also given a hearing test at the same time.

I believe (but am not 100% sure) that the DoDMERB exam is given to all SA candidates, but each academy has their own standards for acceptance. Some medical conditions are waiverable for one academy, but not for another.

Deadlines? I don't remember there being a specific deadline, but that doesn't mean that there isn't one. The best thing you can do is get your exam done ASAP once you've been sent the card, so you'll have sufficient time to provide any additional information that is requested. It can be a long process. This is not something you should put off until the last minute.
