This is kind of a crazy question. I am going to be applying to all of the Service Academies here in the States. I am also a dual citizen with a European Nation. If I submitted an application to this European Nation's Service Academies, would the Service Academies here in the USA be able to see that I submitted an application to the other European Nation's service academies. I really don't plan on doing this but it's an interesting question and I was wondering what the answer could be. Thank you

They won't know about it. However...holding a second passport/citizenship opens a small can of worms should you be appointed to any of the SA's here.

You will have to renounce your EU citizenship.

Are you required to actually renounce your dual citizenship, or do you just have to sign a document stating you are willing to renounce your dual citizenship. I've seen it both ways in the past. Just curious, or is this specific to attending a SA.

I've seen the form in the past and it required renunciation; that being said, I can't find it tonight....I'll keep searching.
