Interesting twist for Class of 2011

The number of AROTC scholarships is actually down almost 50% this year from the figures I've been told.

No offence intended to goaliedad, but can anyone else on the board corroborate this. I've only been getting info from two ROOs and have no other contacts in the military so I'm not quite as "plugged in" to the big green machine as most here. If true this info sounds like it could have a significant impact my chances of earning an Army ROTC scholarship, honestly its got me worried.

You are aware that Goaliedad made that quote on the 15th of April during last year's AROTC scholarship awards?

I can second that number. I'm a Freshman this year and while I was applying last year I heard that number multiple times. There was hard data on the actual number of scholarships offered on one of the other threads. I think it was around 2500. Not sure if anyone besides maybe clarkson and other PMSes know exactly how many scholarships are being offered this year compared to other years yet.
