Interview for WP

The FFR does see a list of candidates applying and where they stand in the process (i.e. file completeness). The FFR can choose to interview candidates on their own and sometimes the academy will ask the FFR to interview someone. I have done a few of those interviews.

I am an official FFR in a CA Congressional District. I am starting to interview those candidates that have the strongest records. I have 52 open applications for WP and do not have the time to interview all of them. Occasionally, WP Admissions will ask that I interview a certain candidate but mostly I decide who to interview based on the record to date. As the year progresses and the information in the records fills-out, I will interview additional candidates.
In my case, if the SAT scores are low (under 600) in each category or the information on the candidate is incomplete, I will wait until the information is posted or the SATs are improved.

Thanks for the reply BigNick.... My DS sent an email to the Liaison just to let them know he was almost done with the application and asking for advise on making himself more competitive. He got a response fairly quickly and he didn't act like he had any info on my DS.

I'd think with his stats he is competitive but then again I'm just a little biased... He has a 31 ACT superscore with 36 in Math, Top 1% of his class with a 3.90 GPA and tough schedule (All Honors, 4 AP's this year etc.) He has been a 4 Year Varsity wrestler/State qualifier/2 Yr. Captain, Baseball 4 years, Football 2 years, NHS, Math Honor Society Treasurer, 4 Year Mathlete, 150+ hours volunteering etc...

I guess we'll just wait and see. If he isn't competitive for the Academies then I guess we just hope one of his ROTC scholarships comes through... And if not I guess it is Plan C to attend one of his colleges without any military!

Rest assured he is competitive, Rocko.
