Interview today

My DD is in the middle of her congressional interview as I write this. Why is it that us parents are far more nervous then they are? I hope she's as prepared as she thinks she is!

Yes, I think it is more nerve racking for the parents. :)

DD did not get a call for Feinstein. Only with her congressman. It was 30 minutes and she said it was crowded. Ever Male applicant was in a suit. So for anyone wondering what to wear, looks like that's the best attire. My DD went in a suit and had resumes. The interesting thing is they all asked questions from the resume which makes me wonder what they would have asked if she didn't bring one? Also, she scored high in math and low in English/reading so they asked her if she likes to read. I had to laugh at that. To myself of course.

Hi everyone! Pardon me if I'm asking this question in the wrong place, but when are applicants notified by Senator Feinstein's office whether they obtained a nomination or not? I just had my interview with her board today, and I would just like to know the timetable. Thank you in advance!

DS said they didn't tell him anything about the time frame. Hope we'll hear the decision soon.

When i conduct my BGO interviews i always ask for them to bring a resume. During or right before the interview i never ask for it, i wait for them to offer it to me. If they do offer one to me it helps me better evaluate them in their favor. Usually a resume will prompt me to ask questions about something that they are involved in that otherwise would have never come up. It also helps be clarify and remember things after they leave and I'm doing their write up. In essence alway bring resume and always offer it.

My DS also had a phone interview with the panel from Sen Feinstein's office on Saturday. I was wondering how her office handles the nominations. Whether she gives 10 unranked nominations, a primary and ranked alternates, or a primary and unranked alternates. My DS didn't want to ask that question or when he would be notified during his phone interview.
