Does completing the interview for the academy help you with the admissions process?

That would depend. If you have a "good interview", it can help your application. If your interview is not so good, it can negatively impact your application. With this considered, understand that the interview is OPTIONAL and it will not count against you in any way should you choose NOT to participate in the interview process.

If you think you can add something in an interview, go for it. Try to think of non-typical answers that will help you stand out. Be confident and comfortable. I think having a practice interview with a family member can help a bit too.
