    Hi everyone,
I have posted in the USMA section about a week ago, but I decided I should post here to introduce myself. I am a 15 year old boy in freshman year in high school. I am basically looking for advice on leadership opportunities and how to get into USMA. There is no JROTC or CAP within forty miles of me, and it is a little late to start BSA. I play no team sports, just track and cross country. So I am just seeking advice on alternative ways to prove my leadership to West Point. Thanks a lot!

I don't know how it is at your school, but our track and cross country teams have captains, that's leadership. You could also find other things similar to JROTC and CAP (e.g., Sea Cadets, Young Marines, etc.). If you work and have a position that is a leadership position, you can put that down too. Become a president of a club, start your own, run for class president/vice president. Plenty of ways to find leadership.
