My name is Mike and I am the proud parent of a daughter (finally) admitted to the USCGA; class of 2012. We went through a LOT to get there, and are forever thankful to the individuals on this forum that made it possible.

I am a professor at Purdue University in aviation and have been there for 27 years. If anyone needs any information about public universityies or aviation let me know. I will be lurking here for the next 4 years at least!

Hi! I am also a proud parent of a 2012 class member (USNA). These kids have worked SO hard--it really amazes me.

This is such a helpful place to get information. welcome aboard!

Welcome, Professor. Congrats to the kid! :thumb:

Congratulations to your daughter and her support crew, aka 'family' for the great accomplishment. When she reports in, will she say she is a Hoosier or a Boiler?

I watched a boy who grew up in my church go on to win a Lilly Scholarship and then graduate from Purdue's aviation program. He's a CFII now and building hours for a seat in a regional airline cockpit. You guys did a fine job of educating him! :thumb:

Hoosier or Boiler

She's a Boiler! She knows where my paycheck comes from!
