DS just received email invite to the CGA for the Genesis Invitational.

He attended AIM and has completed his app 100% for the CGA. Any thoughts on whether he should attend or not? He will miss two more days of school (Already missing two for CWD as USNA in early September) My thoughts are he should probably attend for the same reasons he is attending CVW after going to NASS.

Would appreciate any input.

Genesis Invitational

The Genesis Invitational is a two-day program designed to encourage a diverse population of underrepresented minority and first generation college students to strongly consider entering the Coast Guard Academy. This program is offered in the fall, and allows students direct contact with cadets, faculty, and Admissions staff. Attendees are welcomed aboard the Coast Guard Academy and receive a tour, experience classes, participate in workshops/Q&A with faculty and cadets, and discuss the application process/procedures with Admissions personnel. This program provides an opportunity for students and their families to decide if a Coast Guard Academy education is the right choice for them as they depart the Academy with a better understanding of "the Coast Guard family". The program is limited therefore an application is required.

Thanks so much grevar. MY DS is working on his application. Do you know the dates for Genesis International? Also my son went to AIM III. Did your son go to AIM?

He is going from 22-24 Sept. It came by invitation, and is said Genesis Invitational 1, so I am fairly certain there may be more. Yes, our DS went to AIM also.
