It would be a great technological step forward if there was an iPhone app for this website. I'm on here all the time when I'm home, but an app would make the forum accessible from anywhere at anytime. Not quite sure how one would go about doing this but I think it would be very successuful if made.

Just curious how that would help. I access SAF several times a day, usually from my iphone just using Safari. Sites like College Confidential I use the regular site rather than the mobile site because I don't like how much it leaves out. And I probably have a lot harder time with the small print than you do! I rarely reply from my phone because I hate typing on it, but a mobile/app site wouldn't help that at all. So I'm just wondering what the advantage would be? Not trying to be snarky here; honestly asking!

Log on to SAF with iPhone's Safari, then add the SAF home page as an icon on your iPhone home screen. Viola!

Thank you for the question and thank you marciemi and patentesq for your input on this subject as well.

We don't currently have any plans to implement an app for the site. Most of the functionality that loads is necessary to use the site, so it would be difficult to visually display everything in a more compressed form. That said, we do offer a mobile/lightweight skin which can be selected in the lower left-hand corner of your screen or in your user cp (http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/profile.php?do=editoptions). (Note that we do not "force" the lightweight app on mobile devices because some users may prefer to surf using the regular forum skin.)

I hope that helps answer your question.

Wow, I honestly never thought of adding it as an icon. Thank you for the suggestion, I'll be sure to try this asap.
